The "Malo" arrived in the sunshine at lunchtime today and will soon be taking up service on the Dover-Calais run. Her arrival and entry into service would have enabled fleet mate Calais Seaways to undergo maintenance and repairs following recent engine problems. However, Malo Seaways has now returned to Dunkerque for modifications to allow her to fit the berths both here and in Calais. The "Malo" replaces the DIeppe Seaways (ex Seafrance Moliere) which is now in service on the Irish Sea. The Malo entered service a few days later.

The DFDS / LD Lines Calais Seaways arrives from Calais on the 8th September 2013. She has been the Calais Seaways since the 17th March this year, having had a varied career as Prins Filip, Stena Royal, POSL Aquitaine, PO Aquitaine, Noman Spirit and Ostend Spirit !

Built as Maersk Delft by Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea in 2005, DFDS vessel Delft Seaways makes a pleasing sight viewed from Langdon Cliffs with the French coast in the background as she prepares to enter the eastern entrance having completed her trip from Dunkerque.

Taken on charter from Brittany Ferries by DFDS and temporarily renamed, the Deal Seaways  runs astern for number five berth eastern docks on a stormy day during the summer of 2012. Her charter lasted just six months as she helped launch the new DFDS Dover to Calais service.

Dieppe Seaways arriving from Calais on the 4th March 2014. She has recently returned from refit in Gdansk, Poland and looks great in her new livery. It is apparent she has had her hull repainted blue, more in keeping with her running mates. Very smart indeed!
